Art Studio Jams (Rewind)

This isn’t our real studio but it is just as messy, filled with fabric, beads, buttons, blank canvas, painted canvas, and any number of cats making more messes or stealing bits of wool. It really is orange and that is important because this was the first room that we painted when Chris moved in and we decided to make it our shared art studio. It is one of his favorite colors, but not one of mine, though I have grown to associate orange with making art and that isn’t all bad. The importance is also in the fact that it was the first time we had to really compromise on some change to my house, something I had to look at all the time. In the beginning, this was a real struggle for me having lived alone for so long.

Art Studio Jams is going to be a recurring feature and you’ll get to see the music we listen to when we make our art which is very different in so many ways. Chris is all paint and canvas and any number of strange potions of media while I am fabric, wool, beads and buttons with the occasional paint or marker work. We trade off listening to whatever CDs make their way up to the studio. When that stack is done, another replaces it. We started this in the middle of November, hence, the rewind.
